National Geographic Channel's American Gypsies

I started to watch the show few months ago and I found it interesting.

The main casts of the show are Gypsies or Romanis.

It is believed that their ancestors migrated out of Northwestern India 1,500 years ago.

The first stop of their ancestors was in the Middle East then in Europe and now the Romani diaspora is also widespread in the Americas.

Romanis experienced racism and persecution before especially during the World War II were some of them were executed by Nazis through lethal gas chambers.

A male Romani is called Rom while a female is a Romni but they are also being called as Roms nowadays.
