Where is Lauren Jackson?

Image
I have known here since late 2000's  and watched her playing basketball with Sue Bird.  She was an all-star, a former MVP and an international baller, a key player of the Australian national team. She was a dominant player and can score anywhere in the court. I was wondering why she was not visible in WNBA anymore this past years so I surfed the net to find out why.  I have found out that she was sidelined because of injury and in fact she was ruled out by Seattle Storm prior to the current season due to the same reason.

The two famous Filipino tornatra heroes

Image
A tornatra is someone who was a mixed Filipino Indio, Chinese, and Spanish during the Spanish Era. This term was often used in the Spanish Philippines but barely known to many nowadays. Jose Rizal Jose Rizal’s mother was a Spanish mestiza and his great grandfather is a Fujianese Chinese who migrated to the Philippines hundreds of year ago so therefore he was a tornatra. Rizal fought for the rights of the Filipinos and his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo exposed the oppression and injustice of the colonists and it also awakended the patriotism of many people. He was exiled in Dapitan and was incarcerated in Bagumbayan later and then executed on December 30, 1896 through a firing squad. Andres Bonifacio Andres Bonifacio was a grandson of a Spanish soldier and a Filipino-Chinese woman. He was born in Tondo, Manila and was orphaned in early age alongside with his siblings. He was a fan of Jose Rizal and he founded the Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng

Gilas finished second behind China

Gilas was able to pass Japan in the semis and meet China in just recently concluded 2015 FIBA Asia finals. China controlled the rest of the quarters and Gilas tried to stay close but they failed to win game which ended at 78-67. A lot of people said that the game was rigged, that it had irregularities in favor of the Chinese squad.

A lot of people said that she's too raw and lack some political experience to run for the presidential seat. Her citizenship is also being questioned but she said she's a natural born Filipino and was a foundling at Jaro Cathedral in the province of Iloilo. The Liberal Party persuaded her to become Mar Roxas' running mate but she was hesitant and don't have an answer after some of their meetings. National Geographic Channel's American Gypsies

Image
I started to watch the show few months ago and I found it interesting. The main casts of the show are Gypsies or Romanis. It is believed that their ancestors migrated out of Northwestern India 1,500 years ago. The first stop of their ancestors was in the Middle East then in Europe and now the Romani diaspora is also widespread in the Americas. Romanis experienced racism and persecution before especially during the World War II were some of them were executed by Nazis through lethal gas chambers. A male Romani is called Rom while a female is a Romni but they are also being called as Roms nowadays.

My electronic gaming

Image
I've been playing pc games since I was in grade school and I also played arcade games at that time and also PSP. I started electronic gaming with a brick game and then with other electronic gadgets. Brick game can be classified as an electronic stuff because it uses  the electric power that comes from batteries. I played family computer games this past years and now I'm playing mobile games on my phone. The mobile gaming definitely changed from featuring games like tetris and snake to the likes of clash of clans which is also a pc game. In other words mobile phones now can contain pc games depending on its model. I used to play pc games on my laptop a couple of years ago, it  only needs to be fixed in order for me to play on it again.

At last for Leo Austria!

Image
Leo Austria is a former basketball player and coach  of Adamson Falcons in the UAAP and now the defunct PBA team Shell Turbo Chargers. He's currently coaching the recent PBA champion San Miguel Beermen. Austria did not win any single title with Shell and was out of the PBA for some years and stayed with the Adamson Falcons. In 2013 he mentored the champion team San Miguel Beermen in the ABL but it's not counted as a PBA title because it's a different league. This past season he had a chance to   return to the PBA by coaching the PBA comebacking team San Miguel Beermen and finally he won a PBA championship by winning the two of the three conference championships of the season. It took some years before he reached the zenith of his forte and reap the fruit of his labors.

Pau Gasol's amazing three-pointers

Image
Spain is playing in 2015 Eurobasket without some of their best players including Pau Gasol's brother Marc.  The 35 year-old Gasol and other veterans like Fernandez, Llull, Reyes. and Rodriguez urgently carried the team in order to advance to the next round. Fernandez was not completely healthy though and only played few minutes in some of their games. Albeit Spain can still get some help from Mirotic, and Claver who got NBA experience and also from veterans San Emeterio and Ribas who can play decently for them. Pau played heavy minutes in their previous game against Poland and burried six of his seven attempts from beyond the arc. Some fans have already seen Pau hitting some three-pointers in the NBA but Pau did it more in their last game and in a lil' bit different fashion as if he's Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant. Here's a video link of Pau Gasol's 3-point buzzer-beater against New Orleans Pelicans five years ago:  http://youtu.be/74HqW_J9uVU Gasol finished the gam

Questioning the Yolanda fund

It's been two years since the devastation of the typhoon Yolanda but the housing assistance was not yet fully given to all the deserving beneficiaries. Others were asking if where did the local and foreign aid go. But the government said that the other pledges have not yet received. Lots of people were grumbling about the financial assistance and some of them accused some officials of pocketing it.  Nevertheless some people have already received the assistance that was due to them. Some was able to recover from the aftermath of that supertyphoon but the rest did not.

Where's the mercy?

Other people seek comfort and comradery  when they feel alone, down, and sad but how will you feel if certain people will snob you and refuse to give those things when you need them? What will you do? Why will they do that? Is it because you turned ugly from being handsome or pretty that's why they're avoiding and fleeing away from you? Or is it because they're jealous of you and love seeing you miserable?  Will you refuse to give comfort to those people who are miserable, bullied, and oppressed? Can you afford to abandon them in front of you? Is it all about beautiful appearance? Will you mock a person who suffers from leprosy and other kinds of skin disease iinstead of showing mercy to them? True beauty comes from within and it can be felt by other people when you show it out. Lots of people suffers from different kind of afflictions and they need help. It's kinda disappointing to see that others ridicules and mock someones inhumanely because of his unpleasant looks a

Heartahches out of nostalgia and snobbery

Nostalgia may cause heartache to someone else who can’t do the things that he used to do before because of social reclusion due to bullying. Snobbery may also cause heartache to someone else who was denied of comradery and comfort during his plight. Those things can be downers that can give people tremendous heartaches deep inside. But snobbing is not wrong if done with valid and acceptable reason.

Image
They’ve met 42 times and both of them got 21 wins and 21 loses record against each other. Federer have beaten Djokovic in some minor tourneys this year and won championships but had difficulty beating the world number 1 in the majors. Djokovic also foiled Federer’s hope to clinch his 18th grand slam this year by prevailing in their Wimbledon and US open face off. Novak Djokovic recently won his 10th career grand slam title and his 2nd US Open championship.
